i want to mow lawns for quick cash?

Question by JB: i want to mow lawns for quick cash?
well im 15 year old
im going to be 16 in a few days
on June 17 2008
but i wanna make some cash quick in few days
but i never mowed others lawns before
i was wondering how it works in da mowing bussiness:

Do you have to bring your own mower?
Is it just mowing the neighbor’s yard or do you have to do more than that like pulling weeds ?
How much should I charge?
So when i mow, i just mow everything and thats it?
Will some people reject me if i ask if they need their lawn mowed?
When should a neighbor’s lawn be mowed?
and
What could keep me cooled down while I mow since this summer is hot in Florida?

so please answer my questions dont make other suggestions like “Wait till your 16? or “try this website to make cash?” (i dont own a computer anymore) and i need to make cash soon

Best answer:

Answer by Diva
Quite often people will have their own lawn mowers and would happy to let you use them to do their lawn.

What I used to do is ask if they would like me to mow their lawn and I’d let them determine what they felt was a fair price. If I liked the pay I’d go back in a week and offer again. If I felt like I was ripped off I’d go elsewhere.

Also, your “customers” will tell you what they’d like done if you ask them and many people are kind enough to bring out ice water or lemonade but do bring yourself a jug of something that will hydrate you like a sports drink in ice.

I hope this all helps and I wish you luck!
